JIM SMITH - LEADJim commenced his performing career with the Granite City Chorus thereafter in a duet entitled “Nite Music” playing mainly in local resturants. His quartetting skills were honed in a foursome named “Deep Blue” who performed all over the North East. He was formerly the vocalist with the very successful “James Best Band” which covered everything from big band sounds to the Rat Pack music, but now is focusing his talents singing the melody line in Incognito.

TIM LEWIS - BARITONE
Tim is currently studying Medicine at Aberdeen University, where he conducted a medical students' singing group known as Chordiac Arrest. He is expanding his musical career as a member of the Granite City Chorus where he takes the Tenor part, and reaches the notes that everyone else finds hard to sing.

DUNCAN McKENZIE - TENOR
Sings the high range.
Duncan began his singing career at the tender age of 5 years, in his primary school Christmas concert. “The other parents were in tears” his mother tells us……perhaps until he stopped singing! His music came to him at school as a trombone player, then a foray into the folk scene playing guitar followed by Barbershop. Duncan is a former assistant director of the Granite City Chorus, and current Director of the Silver City Singers. |
HEATHER BARTLETT - COACH
Heather has a long Barbershop history, being one of the founder members of the Aberdeen Chorus of Sweet Adelines.
She Served as Music Co-ordinator for Sweet Adelines International in the eighties as well as working her way through the varied posts of The Aberdeen Chorus, ending in Chorus Director, a post she held for eight years. She has sung Bass in quartets, winning gold with Elite Quartet in the mid nineties. Her work with the Aberdeen Chorus paid off with their Attaining Gold status three years in a row from 1986 in the Great Britain/Netherlands region, with a top three placing in '90, '93 and '94. Heather is currently coaching the Granite City Chorus Men's Barbershop Chorus in Aberdeen, where she hold the title "Quartet Co-ordinator" |
